Photograph by John Hershey. As a photographer, I have been capturing images for over 50 years.. Now a permanent resident of Bodega Bay, I photograph the seascapes, shorelines, boats, birds, critters, and dramatic weather of the Sonoma Coast. Capturing the peak action of this incredible environment is my passion. "Birds of a Feather" was captured at the Bird Walk, where, ironically, one rarely sees many birds. It was a jaw-dropping scene when these different species flew around each other. What a joy. A great egret, blue heron, and brandt geese - a site never to be seen again.
